On 12/13/17, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Andover Walmart and for it’s 2nd annual “Shop with a Cop”.
Over 20 Deputies, Reserves, CSO’s, and Explorers helped 16 children from our three Andover elementary schools do some shopping for Christmas gifts for their family members. Donations from Walmart, Constance Free Church, and the ACSO Supervisors Association were distributed to the children which allowed them to purchase the gifts for their family. The Sheriff’s Office staff then helped the children wrap the gifts prior to being given a ride home in a squad car!
We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to our community partners at Walmart for making this event possible. It was a huge success and we hope that it has made the season a little brighter for those families in our community.
