Anoka County Polar Plunge
Sheriff James Stuart and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office “Sheriff’s Posse” had an arctic blast at the 2018 Anoka County Polar Plunge for Special Olympics on February 24, 2018. The “Sheriff’s Posse” was part of a group of 575 amazing people who took the Plunge raising a total of over $154,074 for Special Olympics.
A special note of thanks from Sheriff Stuart:
Thank you to everyone who sponsored my plunge for a great cause. Thank you also to the ACSO Team of plungers, volunteers, and our Marine Unit for putting together another highly successful event! Your efforts make me proud and make positive changes in our communities! Special shout out to our 2 dignitaries that joined our 2018 team too; although the invite was broadcast across the county, 2 brave souls stepped up and were “Freezin’ for a reason”. Nice job Mayor Mark Korin (Repeat plunger) and Commissioner Scott Schulte (Plunge Rookie)!
